About Us

History

Cullowhee Revitalization Endeavor (CuRvE) was formed when local residents
began coming together to pick up trash along Old Cullowhee Road. Through
these and other community efforts, friends and neighbors formed Cullowhee
Revitalization Endeavor to facilitate the beautification and revitalization of
Cullowhee’s historic center.

In 2007, CuRvE incorporated as an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization in
Jackson County.

In 2012 and 2013, CuRvE hosted a number of open community meetings to
gather citizens’ input into the future and growth of Cullowhee.

Mission

To revitalize the historic center of Cullowhee through recreation, beautification, and community events designed to improve quality of life for Cullowhee residents and foster economic development by supporting locally-owned businesses.
